The family has outgrown the summer house built in Leányfalu in 1974 and has decided to expand it. The lower, brick-built level of the existing building was kept, functionally rethought, and a new, expanded, lightweight upper level was built on top of it, serving the family's current needs well, from which a magical view of the Danube opens up. Due to the terrain, the lower level, which is half sunk into the ground, will in the future be a place for receiving guests in addition to storage and service functions, while the new part of the building will be the place for residential functions.
The interior layout of the holiday home was determined by the panoramic view of the Danube and the direction of the cardinal points. The living room, kitchen, dining room and children's pool are located in a north-south oriented space. The north and east windows open onto the natural view. The ridge line of the ceiling, which also appears in the interior, also leads the eye towards the view. The opening glass wall on the south facade allows the children's pool area to be completely opened into the sunny, southern garden.
The west-facing bedrooms are separated from the common functions by a wardrobe wall running the entire length of the space.
The plot is a meadow with a grove overlooking the view, and the building is located in the upper corner of it, organically fitting into its surroundings with its terraces and appearance.
