SB Controls Ltd., which deals with building automation, decided to build its own office building in 2014. The purchased plot is located in Sóskút, in an industrial zone, surrounded by unstructured, simple mass-formed (box-like) warehouse buildings and sites.
An important aspect of the planned massing and facade design was to create a building that was not alien to the landscape, as well as to create a familiar, intimate atmosphere. All of this, along with the uniform external environment, resulted in an inward-facing architectural concept that plays with inner courtyards.
The building's mass appears closed from the outside and open from the inside, where the views through the inner courtyards strengthen the connections between the workspaces.
The courtyards divide the building into 5 masses of different sizes and heights, the interior height of each block is adapted to the functions it contains, so it can fully serve their needs.
