20 years after the opening of AsiaCenter, in order to broaden the group of buyers and tenants it became necessery to reposition the shopping mall and, as part of this, refreshing the worn-out interior design and architectural image of the building. The origami motif and the associated color pairs that are closely linked to Asian culture can be seen through the entire design of the remodelling: from graphics to architecture, from inside to outside, from the scale of the building to the details of the furniture. All our building elements, claddings and surfaces, furniture and decorations were designed in this spirit. Our goal was to project the internal transformation to the exterior with focused, but spectacular architectural elements that could become the recognizable symbols of the renewal. Thanks to the same typology, the new architectural interventions make up a continuous story from arrival to shopfront.
