The task was a serious challenge: in Ahava's first Budapest boutique, naturalness and high-tech had to be combined into a unified style. The narrow, tall store had to accommodate three separate functions in a small footprint, yet the resulting space was airy and intimate.
The central element is a lightweight “beauty capsule” that separates the sales area and the experience area. The lower, open part is the location for product trials, while the upper room, accessible by a spiral staircase, is used for cosmetic treatments. The floating effect is enhanced by the lower lighting and the carefully designed shape.
The white interior is contrasted by panels featuring Dead Sea minerals, rustic wooden shelves and dark brown wall sections. The special use of materials on the surfaces – such as capsule cladding made with automotive technology and wax plaster – creates a subtle, elegant effect.
Storage and technical elements were cleverly hidden in the remaining small spaces. Although the overall effect seems natural, every inch of the space required unique design.
