Tapas is a social experience. The owners of Arquitecto Pitpit are fans of Spanish cuisine, they live and understand this type of hospitality. We know from them how this cuisine is so receptive to the flavors of other nations, they are happy to experiment with exciting, new dishes and shape them in their own image.

The interior spaces also combine the wonderfully decadent atmosphere of Budapest, the building and the garden, and the life-affirming humor of this Mediterranean-style hospitality. The decent Thonet chairs and the striped lounger canvas upholstery. The white marble counter and the natural terracotta grille. The elegant, slender wall sconces above the extravagantly cheerful paintings of Tamás Füredi.

We used wall sconces to light the restaurant because we wanted to leave the arch of the vault intact. Together with LumoConcept, we designed it to be really smart and multifunctional: subtly illuminated spheres are mood elements in the space, but they also secretly shine upwards, darkening the vault. Meanwhile, a small directional spot from inside the sphere provides light on the table and the dinner plates. The arms can be rotated, so they can follow the tables, even if they are rearranged.
